In 2016, we developed UMKa robotic warehouse shuttles!

In 2016, as part of the energy saving program, we developed robotic warehouse shuttles, or robot trolleys, called UMKa.

UMKa is a controlled mechanized picker capable of moving goods located on a pallet both inside the channel when loading into the shelving system and outside when unloading. UMKa can work using two technologies: FIFO and LIFO, while the storage depth is several tens of meters, and the storage height is 12-14 meters.

Thanks to a wide range of functions built into the UMKi management system, the cargo handling process is significantly accelerated and the inventory of goods in the warehouse is facilitated. The UMKA is controlled by a remote control (remote control).

The UMKA has 4 electrically driven driving wheels, is equipped with a system of laser sensors for precise positioning inside the channel of the storage system, and is also equipped with a lifting device that guarantees the stability of the pallet.

Stainless steel housing construction. Electrohydraulic drive with smooth and synchronous mechanism ensures accurate movement of cargo in the storage area with a maximum pallet weight of 1500 kg. It is possible to work with pallets of different sizes (1200x800 and 1200x1000 mm).

The autonomous electric power system based on lithium batteries contributes to long-term and uninterrupted operation without recharging for up to 12 hours. The battery charging time takes from 2 to 4 hours, depending on the degree of sparsity.

The introduction of UMKi allows not only to reduce costs and optimize logistics processes, but also to significantly reduce electricity consumption by replacing conventional warehouse equipment and avoid downtime in the operation of equipment.
